Welcome to a new rhythm.
We’re glad you’re here. Whether you are catching this during a quick break on your shift, reading in the quiet hours of a caregiving role, or searching for a bit of peace in a loud world, this space is for you.
Life can feel like a vast, unpredictable ocean. One day the water is glass; the next, you’re staring down a swell that looks like it might swallow everything.
In those moments, we don't just need a bigger boat. We need an anchor that actually holds.
At Boundless Online Church, we believe that anchor is the Word of God.
This is the first installment of our Boundless Daily Micro-Studies. Our goal is simple: to help you trust the Word, one day at a time.

The Anchor in the Storm
When we talk about being "anchored," we aren't talking about being stuck. An anchor doesn't stop a boat from moving with the tide; it stops the boat from drifting away into the rocks.
Trusting the Bible works the same way.
The world changes its mind every five minutes. Culture shifts. Technology evolves. Even our own feelings can flip-flop based on how much sleep we got last night.
If we build our lives on things that change, we’re always going to feel a little bit sea-sick.
But the Scriptures provide a foundation that doesn’t move. When you know what God says about you, about your future, and about His own character, you gain a sense of "calm power." You can face the storm because you know you’re held by something stronger than the waves.
Why We Trust the Bible
We don't just read the Bible because it’s a "good book" or a collection of historical wisdom.
As a ministry, we align with the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God. The very first of these truths is The Scriptures Inspired.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It’s not just a human invention. It is the infallible rule of faith and conduct for every person, everywhere.
This means that when you open the Bible, you aren't just looking at ink on a page or pixels on a screen. You are engaging with the breath of God.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness...” (2 Timothy 3:16).
Because it is "God-breathed," it carries His authority and His heart. It is the primary way we get to know who He is.
If you’re new to this, or if you’ve been away from the Word for a while, you might have questions. That’s okay. We love questions here. You can connect with others who are exploring these same truths in our I’m New Q&A Welcome Center.

The Living Word for a Digital Age
We know that life today is fast. Most of us aren't sitting in a mahogany library with hours to spend in deep study.
You might be reading this on your phone while waiting for a delivery. You might be listening to a screen reader while you work with your hands.
The beauty of the Word is that it is "living and active" (Hebrews 4:12). It doesn't need a cathedral to be effective. It works in the breakroom, the hospital room, and the living room.
At Boundless Online Church, we help people meet Jesus and grow in faith online. We believe that God is just as present in a digital space as He is in a physical building.
Trusting the Word means believing that God can speak to you right where you are. You don't have to clean yourself up or find a "sacred" location. The Word comes to you.
Micro-Study: Psalm 119:105
Let’s look at a single verse today. This is a classic, but it’s a classic for a reason.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
Notice two things about this light:
It’s a lamp for your feet. In the ancient world, a lamp was often a small oil light that only showed you the very next step. It didn't illuminate the whole forest. Sometimes, God only shows us the next right thing to do. Trusting the Word means being okay with only seeing one step at a time.
It’s a light on your path. It gives direction. It keeps you from wandering into the weeds.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by the "big picture" of your life, stop trying to see the whole forest. Just look for the light for your next step. What does the Word say about how to treat people today? How to handle your anxiety today? How to trust God today?

Trusting the Word When Life is Loud
It’s easy to trust the Word when things are going well. It’s a lot harder when you’re exhausted.
We think about our community members who are shift workers, those of you working while the rest of the world sleeps. We think about the caregivers who are physically and emotionally drained. We think about those in places where it isn't always safe to talk about faith openly.
When life is loud, the Word provides a "holy hush."
Trusting the Word in these moments looks like:
Recalling a verse when you feel a panic attack coming on.
Choosing to believe God is for you, even when your bank account says otherwise.
Reminding yourself that you are loved by the Creator of the universe, even when you feel invisible to the people around you.
If you’re looking for a community to walk through these challenges with, check out our Bible Study Club or the Bible Study for Men. There’s something powerful about standing on the Word together.
Practical Steps to Stay Anchored
How do we actually do this? How do we move from "knowing" the Bible is good to "trusting" it daily?
1. Start Small. Don't feel like you have to read five chapters a day. Start with one verse. Let it sit in your mind. Chew on it.
2. Use Your Tech. Set a reminder on your phone. Subscribe to a reading plan. We have resources in our Faith & Discipleship section to help you find a rhythm that works for your schedule.
3. Pray the Word. If you don't know what to say to God, use His own words. Pray through a Psalm. It’s a great way to align your heart with His.

You Aren’t Alone
The most important thing to remember is that you aren't doing this by yourself.
Boundless Online Church is a global family. We are a community of seekers, believers, and friends who are all trying to figure out how to live out the Word in a complicated world.
Whether you are in Memphis or on the other side of the globe, you have a place here. We are committed to helping you grow, no matter where you are starting from.
If today feels particularly heavy and you find it hard to even open a Bible, please reach out. We would love to pray for you.
