Welcome to Day 30.
Take a deep breath and just sit with that for a second. You’ve been on this journey with us for a full month now. Whether you’ve been reading these every single morning with your coffee, or catching up during a late-night shift break, we are so glad you are here.
At Boundless Online Church, we often say that we help people meet Jesus and grow in faith online. Growth isn't just about knowing more facts about the Bible. It’s about how we live, how we treat people, and how we handle the things we’ve been given.
Today, we’re diving into two words that can sometimes feel "churchy" or even a bit intimidating: Stewardship and Generosity.
But here’s the secret: when you understand these two things from God’s perspective, they don't feel like a burden. They feel like freedom.
What is Stewardship, Really?
We use the word "steward" a lot in Christian circles, but it’s a bit of an old-fashioned term. Think of a steward as a manager.
If a friend asks you to watch their house while they’re on vacation, you’re the manager of that house. You don’t own the TV, the fridge, or the backyard. But you’re responsible for making sure the plants stay watered and the doors stay locked.
Stewardship is the recognition that everything we have: our time, our talents, our money, and even our very breath: actually belongs to God.
The Bible tells us in Psalm 24:1, "The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it."
That changes the way we look at our bank accounts and our calendars. It’s not "my" money that I’m giving away; it’s God’s money that I’m managing for His purposes. It’s not "my" time that I’m wasting; it’s a gift from the Creator that I get to invest.

Managing the "Seeds"
In the visual for today’s post, you see open hands holding seeds.
Seeds are a perfect metaphor for stewardship. A seed is small, but it holds the potential for a whole harvest. If you keep the seed in a jar on a shelf, it stays a seed. It might even rot eventually.
But if you plant it: if you manage it well: it grows. It multiplies.
God gives us seeds every day. He gives us the "seed" of a kind word for a coworker. He gives us the "seed" of a few extra dollars in our budget. He gives us the "seed" of a specific skill, like being a good listener or knowing how to fix things.
Stewardship is the act of planting those seeds in the right soil.
The Heart of Generosity
If stewardship is the "how" (managing what we have), generosity is the "why."
Generosity is a heart posture. It’s the desire to hold things with an open hand rather than a clenched fist.
Why are we called to be generous? Because we serve a generous God.
The most famous verse in the Bible, John 3:16, starts with the ultimate act of generosity: "For God so loved the world that he gave..."
He didn’t just give a little bit. He gave His best. He gave His Son.
When we practice generosity, we are actually practicing being like Jesus. We are reflecting the character of our Father to a world that is often very selfish and protective.

For the Global Church
We know many of you reading this are in different walks of life.
Maybe you’re a caregiver who spends 12 hours a day looking after a loved one. You might feel like you have nothing left to give. But your time and your patience? That is stewardship of the highest order. You are managing the "seed" of compassion that God placed in you.
Maybe you’re working a late-night security shift or a warehouse job. You might feel like your resources are tight. Generosity isn't about the amount; it’s about the sacrifice and the heart behind it.
Even in persecuted areas or places where physical resources are scarce, the generosity of spirit: sharing hope, sharing a digital link to a sermon, or praying for a neighbor: is powerful.
Boundless Online Church is a ministry of FA Memphis, and we see people from all over the world connecting here. We see the way you support one another in our online groups. That is stewardship of community.
Grounded in Truth
At Boundless, we align with the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God. These truths aren't just for scholars; they are for everyday life.
One of those truths focuses on the mission of the Church. We believe the Church is called to seek and save that which is lost, to worship God, and to build up a body of believers.
Stewardship and generosity are the "fuel" for that mission. When we manage our resources well and give generously, we are literally helping the global Church reach someone who has never heard the name of Jesus.
If you want to dive deeper into what we believe, you can check out the 16 Fundamental Truths on our site.

Practical Stewardship: Where to Start?
You don't have to be a financial expert to be a good steward. Here are three simple ways to start today:
Inventory Your "Seeds": Take five minutes today to think about what God has given you. Is it a skill? A specific amount of time? A little bit of extra income? Just acknowledge that these things are gifts from Him.
The "One-Percent" Rule: If generosity feels scary, start small. Can you give 1% more of your time to prayer? Can you give 1% more of your resources to help someone in need?
Check Your Heart: Before you give or serve, ask yourself, "Am I doing this because I have to, or because I want to reflect God's love?"
The Joy of the Harvest
The amazing thing about stewardship is that it leads to joy.
When you realize you don't have to "own" everything or protect everything with a clenched fist, the stress starts to melt away. You realize that God is the provider. He is the one who makes the rain fall and the sun shine on those seeds you've planted.
You are simply invited into the process.
As we move forward into the next 30 days and beyond, let’s be a community known for its open hands. Let’s be people who manage our lives so well that we always have something left over to give to someone else.

Growing Together
If you’re looking for a way to grow in this area, consider joining one of our digital communities. Whether it's the Bible Study Club or a specific group for men, having others to walk with makes the journey of stewardship much easier.
We’re all learning how to do this together. None of us have it all figured out, but we serve a God who is infinitely patient and incredibly generous.
If you have questions about how to handle your time, or if you’re struggling with the idea of generosity when things feel tight, reach out. We’d love to chat and pray with you.
