Hey there. I’m so glad you’ve joined us for today’s Boundless Daily.
Whether you’re catching this on your morning break, during a late-night shift, or while the kids are finally napping, I want you to know you’re welcome here.
Today, we are diving into our "Living in the Light" series.
We’re talking about a word that sometimes feels a bit heavy or even "old-school."
Integrity.
It’s one of those words we hear in business meetings or graduation speeches. But what does it actually mean for those of us trying to follow Jesus in the middle of a messy, busy, digital world?
Let’s unpack it together.
What is Integrity, Really?
At its simplest, integrity is wholeness.
Think of a ship’s hull. If it has integrity, it means there are no hidden cracks. It means the part of the ship you see above the water is just as solid as the part hidden underneath.
For us, walking with integrity means our "underwater" life matches our "above water" life.
It means the person you are on Sunday morning (or whenever you log into service) is the same person you are on Tuesday afternoon when an email makes you angry or when you’re scrolling through social media alone.
In the Bible, Proverbs 10:9 says, "Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out."
There is a massive sense of peace that comes with having nothing to hide.

Living in the Light
This series is titled "Living in the Light" because integrity and light are inseparable.
When we live in the light, we aren't afraid of the truth. We don't have to manage different versions of ourselves for different people.
We serve a God who sees everything anyway.
One of the 16 Fundamental Truths we hold dear is the process of Sanctification. This is just a big word for the way the Holy Spirit works in us to make us more like Jesus.
Sanctification isn’t just about stopping "bad" behaviors. It’s about an internal shift where we desire the truth more than we desire the convenience of a lie.
It’s about letting God’s light shine into the corners of our hearts where we usually keep the "clutter."
The Quiet Strength of the Small Things
Most of us won't face a giant, movie-style test of our integrity today.
We probably won't be offered a briefcase full of money to betray a friend.
Instead, our integrity is tested in the tiny, quiet moments:
Do you give your full effort at work when the boss isn't looking?
Do you tell the whole truth, even if a "half-truth" would save you from a little embarrassment?
How do you talk about people when they aren't in the room?
Jesus told us that if we can be trusted with very little, we can also be trusted with much.
Walking with integrity is built one small decision at a time. It’s a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger it gets.
Integrity in a Digital World
At Boundless Online Church, we spend a lot of time in digital spaces.
We know that the internet can sometimes feel like a place where integrity goes to die. It’s so easy to be anonymous. It’s so easy to post a comment we would never say to someone’s face.
But as followers of Christ, our call to integrity doesn't stop when we turn on a screen.
Living in the light online means:
Being kind in the comments section.
Protecting our eyes from things that dim our spiritual fire.
Using our platforms to build people up rather than tear them down.
If you’re looking for a community where you can talk about these challenges in a safe space, check out our Bible Study Club. It’s a great place to grow with others who are trying to navigate the same things.

Why Does It Matter?
You might be thinking, "Penny, this sounds exhausting. Why should I care so much about being perfectly consistent?"
First, remember that it's not about perfection. We all stumble.
Integrity includes being honest about our failures. When we mess up, walking in integrity means owning it, asking for forgiveness, and making it right.
But the real reason it matters is our mission.
We help people meet Jesus and grow in faith online.
If our lives don't reflect the light of Jesus, why would anyone want to follow Him? Our integrity is the loudest sermon we will ever preach.
People are looking for something real. In a world full of "filters" and fake personas, a person walking in simple, honest integrity stands out like a lighthouse.
A Moment for Reflection
Take a deep breath.
Think about your day so far. Are there any areas where you feel like you’re stepping into the shadows?
Maybe it’s a conversation you’re avoiding or a habit you’re keeping secret.
The beautiful thing about God’s grace is that the light isn't there to shame you. The light is there to heal you.
When we bring things into the light, they lose their power over us.
If you’re struggling with something today, you don't have to carry it alone. Our community is here to walk alongside you. Whether you are a shift worker feeling isolated or a caregiver feeling overwhelmed, you belong here.

Taking the Next Step
Walking with integrity is a lifelong journey. It’s something we recommit to every single morning.
Here are a few practical ways to lean into this today:
Ask for Holy Spirit Guidance: Before you start your day, simply ask, "Lord, help me to walk in your light today. Show me where I need to be more honest."
Practice Radical Honesty: If you catch yourself telling a small "white lie" today, stop. Correct yourself. It might feel awkward, but it builds that integrity muscle.
Find Accountabilty: Join a group. We have a Bible Study for Men and many other groups where you can find brothers and sisters to keep you sharp.
We are all works in progress. The goal isn't to be "good enough" for God. The goal is to be so in love with Jesus that we want our lives to reflect His truth perfectly.
Thank you for being part of the Boundless family. Your presence here matters. Your walk with God matters.
