A Message from FA Memphis
Seeking divine healing means connecting with the restorative power of the Holy Spirit. Whether you need physical recovery, emotional restoration, or the baptism in the Holy Spirit for spiritual empowerment, God’s grace is available. Understanding the biblical foundation for healing helps you approach the throne of grace with confidence and peace.
Exodus 15:26: "I am the Lord who heals you."
Isaiah 53:5: "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."
James 5:14-15: "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up."
Acts 1:8: "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
When I think about the journey toward wellness, I realize that for many of us, it isn't just about a doctor's visit. It’s about a deep, spiritual longing for wholeness.
For many people, the search for divine healing leads to a crossroads of faith and modern medicine. I want you to know that you aren't alone in this search, and you aren't forgotten by God.
As we explore these seven essential truths, we do so with a clear focus on the truth of Scripture. In every word I write and every lesson we share at Boundless, the Assemblies of God worldview IS the guardrails. This keeps us anchored in Jesus while we pursue the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit in a healthy, biblical way.

1. Divine Healing is Provided in the Atonement
The first thing you should know is that healing isn't an afterthought for God; it’s part of the "package deal" of salvation. When we look at Isaiah 53, we see that the suffering of Jesus wasn't just for our sins, but also for our sicknesses. I believe that Christ’s death on the cross provided for the healing of the whole person, spirit, soul, and body.
This doesn't mean we treat God like a vending machine, but it does mean we can come to Him with high expectations. When you are looking for divine healing, start by grounding yourself in the truth that Jesus already paid the price for your peace and your health. This is a foundational truth of our faith that gives us the boldness to ask for the impossible.
2. The Power of Baptism in the Holy Spirit
You may have heard the term “baptism in the Holy Spirit” and wondered what it entails. In our tradition, we believe this is a distinct experience following salvation where the believer is filled with the power of God for service and witness. But that power isn't just for preaching; it’s the same power that raised Christ from the dead.
When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit, you are being immersed in the presence of the Comforter. This presence often brings a deep sense of internal healing before the physical manifestation even appears. It’s an empowerment that allows you to walk in the gifts of the Spirit, including the gifts of healing mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12. If you are seeking a breakthrough, I encourage you to seek the fullness of the Spirit.
3. God Works Through Both Miracles and Medicine
Because today is Wednesday Wonder, I want to highlight the incredible way God’s creation works. Our bodies are designed with an intricate, God-given ability to heal themselves, from the way our blood clots to the way our cells regenerate. That design is a wonder in itself. And there are times when we also ask God for help beyond what we can explain—because He’s still the Lord who heals.
Wherever you live, you may have access to caring healthcare providers. I never tell people to ignore their doctors. Instead, I encourage you to see medical care and prayer as working side-by-side. Whether God heals through a sudden miracle or through a steady process with treatment and wisdom, He gets the glory for restoring what’s broken.

4. Emotional and Trauma Healing are Essential
Healing isn't always about a broken bone or a chronic illness. Sometimes, the deepest wounds are the ones no one can see. Many communities have resources that support emotional and mental health, and I’m grateful when counseling and pastoral care can work together.
If you are carrying the weight of the past, religious trauma, or deep-seated grief, know that the Holy Spirit is known as the "Great Physician" for a reason. He can reach into the places of the heart that a prescription cannot touch. Don't be afraid to seek out spiritually-informed counseling while also laying your heart bare before the Lord in prayer.
5. The Importance of Faith-Filled Community
You weren't meant to carry your burdens alone. Whether it’s a small group gathering online through Boundless or a trusted local church community, the “prayer of faith” mentioned in James 5 often happens within the context of community. There is something powerful that happens when two or more are gathered in His name.
When we pray for one another, we are standing in the gap. If you feel isolated in your struggle, I want to invite you to find a place where people believe in the miraculous. Healing often flows through the hands and voices of brothers and sisters in Christ who refuse to let you give up. You are never forgotten, and in the right community, you will never be alone.
6. Navigating Online Resources Safely
In our digital age, the search for divine healing will lead you to thousands of videos, articles, and testimonies. While the internet is a great tool, it can also be a place of confusion.
When you are searching for spiritual content or movies that build your faith, I always recommend staying safe. Use tools like VidAngel or “Enjoy Movies Your Way” to ensure you’re watching clean, family-safe versions of media.
For your digital life in general, especially when you're in a vulnerable state seeking help, accountability is key. I highly recommend using Bark or Covenant Eyes to protect your heart and your household from the distractions and dangers of the web. Keeping your "digital eyes" fixed on things that are pure helps maintain an environment where faith can grow.

7. Persistence and the "Already But Not Yet"
Finally, it’s important to understand that while God is our Healer, we live in a world that is still waiting for its full redemption. Sometimes healing is instantaneous. Other times, it is a process. And sometimes, our ultimate healing happens when we see Him face to face. This is the tension of the "already but not yet" of the Kingdom of God.
Don't let a delay in your miracle shake your faith in the Healer. Keep asking, keep seeking, and keep knocking. The Holy Spirit is present with you in the waiting just as much as He is in the walking. My prayer for you is that you feel His tangible peace today, regardless of where you are on your journey toward wholeness.

I believe that God is doing something special in the hearts of people around the world. He is still the God of wonders, and He is still reaching out to touch those who are in need. You are deeply loved by Him, and your well-being matters to the Creator of the universe.
A Prayer for Your Healing: "Heavenly Father, I lift up the person reading this right now. You know their pain, their diagnosis, and their heart’s cry. I ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to flood their life. By the stripes of Jesus, I pray for restoration and wholeness. Whether through medical wisdom or a miraculous touch, bring healing to their body and peace to their mind. Let them feel that they are never alone and never forgotten. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
