What is divine healing? It is the supernatural work of God restoring the whole person, body, soul, and spirit. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and the finished work of Jesus, we believe God still heals today, offering peace and restoration to all who seek His grace and believe in His promises.
Exodus 15:26 (NIV): "He said, 'If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.'"
Isaiah 53:5 (KJV): "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
Matthew 4:23 (NIV): "Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people."
James 5:14-15 (NIV): "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up."
Welcome home. If you are reading this and your heart is heavy or your body is weary, I want you to know right now that you are never forgotten, never alone, and deeply loved by God. When we talk about divine healing, we aren't just talking about a clinical recovery or a lucky break. We are talking about the very nature of our Father. In the Old Testament, God revealed Himself as Jehovah-Rapha, which literally means "The Lord Who Heals." Healing isn't just something He does; it is who He is.
In our journey of faith, we often encounter seasons where restoration feels far away. But the beauty of the Gospel is that Jesus didn't just come to save our souls for eternity; He came to bring wholeness to our lives today. When we look at the life of Jesus, about one-fifth of the Gospel narrative is dedicated to His healing ministry. He didn't turn people away. He met them in their pain, touched the "untouchable," and spoke life into dead situations. That same power is available to us through the Holy Spirit.

The Foundation of Our Faith
As we navigate the complexities of spiritual and physical health, it is vital to have a solid foundation. In our community, we lean on the Word of God as our ultimate authority. When it comes to understanding how God works in the supernatural, we stay grounded in Scripture and the historic Christian belief that God is still able to heal. We believe that deliverance from sickness is provided for in the Atonement and is a gracious gift available through Christ, who took our infirmities upon Himself so that we might walk in newness of life.
Divine healing is a supernatural act of God. It can happen instantly in a moment of "Thunder," or it can happen gradually as we walk out our faith. Sometimes, God uses the incredible gift of modern medicine, which we believe is a tool of His common grace, and other times, He intervenes directly in response to the "prayer of faith." In every scenario, the glory belongs to Him, the Great Physician.
The Power of the Holy Spirit
I often get asked about the role of the Holy Spirit in healing. We believe in the Holy Spirit Baptism as an empowering experience that follows salvation. This isn't just a theological concept; it's a practical reality. The Holy Spirit is the Comforter and the Power-Bringer. When we are filled with the Spirit, we are equipped to pray with a new level of authority and sensitivity to God’s voice. The Spirit intercedes for us when we don’t have the words to say.
If you are seeking Divine Healing, I encourage you to seek a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit. It’s in that place of intimacy that peace begins to surpass understanding. Even before the physical manifestation of healing occurs, the Spirit can bring a restoration of the mind and heart that allows you to stand firm against fear and anxiety.

Healing for the Whole Family
Healing often starts in the home. Our digital age can sometimes hinder our spiritual and emotional restoration. We are constantly bombarded by notifications, news cycles, and the comparison traps of social media. This constant noise can create a kind of soul-weariness, anxiety, restlessness, and a feeling of being disconnected from God and those we love.
I want to suggest a simple digital detox for your family. Try turning off the screens for a few hours. Use that time to sit together, read the healing promises of Scripture, and pray for one another. Protecting what fills your mind and heart is part of pursuing spiritual health. For families with children, wise online boundaries can help your home remain a sanctuary of peace.
Walking in Restoration
Restoration isn't always a straight line. There are days when the pain feels louder than the promise. During those times, remember that your faith is not measured by the absence of symptoms, but by the presence of your trust in God. We hold onto the truth that between Christ’s first coming and His second coming, we live in the "already but not yet." We see miracles, we experience God's hand, and we also wait for the day when He will wipe every tear from our eyes and there will be no more pain.
Don't walk this path alone. The enemy loves to isolate those who are hurting. He wants you to think that God has passed you by or that your faith isn't strong enough. Those are lies. You are a child of the Most High King. Whether you are seeking physical healing, emotional restoration from past trauma, or a spiritual breakthrough, there is a community here to stand with you.

Practical Steps Toward Peace
If you are seeking healing today, here are a few practical steps you can take:
1. **Immerse yourself in the Word.** Don't just read it; speak it. Declare Isaiah 53:5 over your life every morning. 2. **Call for prayer.** James 5 tells us to call for the elders. Don't be afraid to reach out and ask for someone to stand in agreement with you. 3. **Check your atmosphere.** Is your home a place of worship? Play songs of praise that focus on God’s power. 4. **Practice Rest.** God designed us to need the Sabbath. Healing often happens when we finally stop striving and start resting in His grace.
Divine healing is a gift, and like any gift from God, it is received through grace. You don't have to earn it. You don't have to be perfect to receive it. You just have to be His. And you are.

Heavenly Father, I pray for my friend reading this right now. You know the exact nature of their pain, the depth of their exhaustion, and the hope they are holding onto. Lord, we ask for Your supernatural healing power to flow through them. Touch every cell, every emotion, and every spiritual burden. We stand on Your promise that by the stripes of Jesus, we are healed. Give them a peace that defies logic and a restoration that brings glory to Your name. Strengthen their faith and remind them that they are never alone. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
