A Message from FA Memphis
In an era dominated by secular algorithms, faith-based media provides a protected space for uncompromised evangelism. By moving beyond transactional digital interactions, we must prioritize content stewardship that aligns with our mission, ensuring the Gospel reaches seekers through intentional, value-aligned platforms that honor the sanctity of the message and lead people toward Christ.
Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV): "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Romans 10:14-15 (NIV): "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'"
I remember sitting in a dimly lit studio, the blue glow of three monitors reflecting off my glasses. I had just finished editing a short film: a piece designed to bridge the gap between modern struggle and ancient hope. It was raw, it was honest, and it was filled with the light of the Gospel. But as my finger hovered over the 'upload' button on a major secular video platform, a cold realization hit me. I wasn't just uploading content; I was submitting it to an algorithm: 1s and 0s, computer code: that didn't know my God, didn't value my mission, and would likely bury my message beneath a mountain of "trending" noise and negativity.
That moment changed how I look at media. For years, we’ve been told that to reach the world, we must play by the world’s digital rules. But there is a shift happening: a quiet revolution in how we communicate the most important story ever told. Faith-based media isn't just a "safe alternative" anymore; it is becoming the primary vehicle for strategic, uncompromised evangelism. We are moving toward a space where the message dictates the medium, not the other way around.

In the current landscape, secular platforms operate on a transactional basis. They want your data, your time, and your attention so they can sell it to the highest bidder. When we share the Gospel on these platforms, we are essentially "renting" space from a landlord who might decide to evict our message at any moment. This isn't just about censorship: though that is a growing concern: it's about mission alignment. A secular platform doesn't care if a soul is saved; it cares if a user clicks an ad. When our content is sandwiched between a divisive political rant and a shallow entertainment clip, the weight of the message can be diluted. We are shouting into a hurricane of "noise" that exalts sin and self. This is why we must be intentional. Assemblies of God worldview IS the guardrails.
The most significant change I’ve witnessed in the realm of Christian Media and Content is the move toward values-aligned partnerships. When you utilize a faith-based media platform, you aren't just a "user." You are a partner in a shared mission. These platforms share a foundational commitment to advancing the message of Jesus Christ throughout the world. This means the people running the servers, the developers writing the code, and the curators managing the feeds are praying for the same things you are. They are better stewards of the content we create because they understand its eternal value. They aren't looking for ways to suppress the message through hidden algorithms; they are looking for ways to ensure the hope of the Gospel reaches the people who need it most.

We have to be honest about the climate we live in. Digital censorship is no longer a "what if" scenario; it’s a reality many Christian creators face daily. Whether it’s "shadow banning" or outright removal, the secular gatekeepers have a vision for their platforms that often conflicts with biblical truth. Faith-based media provides a secure distribution channel. It creates a "Digital Tabernacle": a space set apart for the work of the Lord. By building and supporting our own infrastructures, we ensure that the Great Commission isn't dependent on the whims of a corporate board in Silicon Valley.
As someone who spends hours in the "creative lab," I’ve realized that the medium truly does impact the message. When I create for a faith-based audience, I don’t have to "water down" the theology to appease an automated filter. I can lean into the depth of the Spirit. This leads to a higher standard of excellence. We see this even in the way we review culture: looking for the blocks of faith in the most unexpected places. When we engage with media, we should also be mindful of our consumption. I always recommend using tools like VidAngel or "Enjoy Movies Your Way" to ensure your home remains a sanctuary of clean, family-safe content. Furthermore, implementing online-safety and accountability measures through Bark or Covenant Eyes is a vital step in protecting the creative spirit within our families.

The world is cluttered. If you scroll through a typical social media feed for five minutes, you are bombarded with negativity, vanity, and consumerism. Faith-based media acts as a lighthouse in that storm. It provides a curated space where the viewer’s heart is already being prepared for the seed of the Word. When we share the Gospel through these dedicated channels, we are meeting people in a space where they have specifically come to seek truth. This changes the "conversion" from a random encounter to a divine appointment. It allows us to be more educational, more thorough, and more impactful. We are not just making "content"; we are making art for the Creator.
Stewardship is usually a word we associate with finances, but in 2026, we must become stewards of our digital presence. Every video, every blog post, and every podcast episode is a seed. Where are we planting those seeds? Are we tossing them onto the concrete of secular algorithms, or are we planting them in the fertile soil of faith-aligned communities? By supporting and utilizing faith-based media, we are investing in a future where the Gospel remains unhindered. We are building a legacy that will allow the next generation of Christian creators to speak clearly, loudly, and without fear.

The next time you prepare to share a piece of your journey or a message of hope, think about the "where" as much as the "what." The goal is not just reach; the goal is impact. Every reader is a priceless child of God. We are here to build each other up, one post at a time, moving closer to the heart of Jesus through the tools He has placed in our hands. If we want to fix the mistakes of the past, we have to be intentional about the environments we create for spiritual growth, ensuring our light isn't hidden under a digital bushel.
Evaluate your digital footprint this week. Start by seeking out one faith-based platform or community where you can contribute or consume content. Look for spaces that prioritize the mission over the metric. If you’re a creator, consider how a platform that shares your values might help your message flourish in ways you hadn’t imagined. We must learn to navigate this new era by being as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves. You are never forgotten, never alone, and deeply loved by God.
A Prayer for the Digital Journey: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the technology and tools You have placed in our hands to spread Your Word to the ends of the earth. Lord, give us the wisdom to be faithful stewards of our digital presence. Protect our messages from being silenced and guide those who are searching for hope to the light of Your Truth. May our creative efforts always point back to You, the Ultimate Creator. Amen.
