FA Memphis Connection: Is Everyone Welcome at Sunday Worship in Cordova?

Yes. Everyone is welcome at Sunday worship in Cordova, whether you are a longtime believer, first-time guest, seeker, family, student, traveler, or returning churchgoer. Join us in person at 8650 Walnut Grove Road, or worship online through FA Memphis and Boundless Online Church from wherever you are.

You Are Not Interrupting the Family, You Are Welcome in It

Sometimes the hardest part of attending church is not finding the address. It is finding the courage to walk through the door.

You may wonder whether anyone will notice you, whether your children will fit in, whether your questions are acceptable, or whether your past will follow you into the room. You may have attended church for decades, or not at all.

At FA Memphis, the invitation is simple: come as you are and take one step toward Jesus.

Our Sunday worship is centered on the truth of Scripture, the presence of the Holy Spirit, passionate praise, and the grace of Christ. You do not need to have everything figured out before you arrive. You do not need the perfect background, the right vocabulary, or a polished spiritual resume.

You are welcome.

What Does the Bible Say About Gathering Together?

Hebrews 10:24–25 calls believers to “consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,” encouraging one another as we gather. Christian worship is not merely an event we consume; it is a shared expression of faith where we receive strength and help others find courage.

Romans 15:7 gives the church a gracious pattern:

“Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”

Christ welcomes us with grace and truth. He does not ignore sin, but He does not define people by their failures. He invites us into repentance, restoration, healing, discipleship, and new life.

That is the heart of Sunday worship: not performance, pressure, or pretending, but turning our attention together toward Jesus.

“Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you.” Romans 15:7

What Can You Expect at FA Memphis?

Whether you are coming from Cordova, Memphis, Germantown, Collierville, Arlington, Millington, Atoka, Bartlett, West Memphis, or another part of the 901, here are a few things you can expect.

1. A Christ-centered worship experience

Our worship points to Jesus Christ, His holiness, mercy, authority, sacrifice, resurrection, and return. We believe God is worthy of wholehearted praise, and we make room for people to respond to Him with honesty and faith.

You may see people worship in different ways. Some may raise their hands. Others may quietly reflect, sing, pray, or listen. There is room for sincere responses to God.

2. Biblical teaching for real life

The Bible is not reserved for experts. It speaks to families, students, people facing anxiety, those rebuilding after disappointment, and anyone asking what it means to follow Jesus.

FA Memphis is committed to Scripture-centered teaching that is clear, practical, and grounded in the truth of God’s Word. If you want to explore our theological foundation, visit Our Beliefs.

3. A welcoming environment for families

Children and students matter to God, and they matter to the church. Families are invited to worship and grow in an environment where every generation can encounter Jesus and build meaningful relationships.

If you are visiting with children, you can learn more about available ministry connections through the FA Memphis Connect page. You do not need to know every process before you arrive. Simply let someone know you are new, and a hospitality team member can help you take the next step.

4. Freedom to come honestly

Some guests arrive joyful. Others arrive tired, grieving, skeptical, or unsure what they believe. Some are returning to church after years away. Others are searching for the first time.

You do not have to hide your questions to be welcomed. Faith grows through honest conversation, prayer, Scripture, and community. God meets people in real places, not imaginary versions of their lives.

5. A church family that values connection

Sunday worship is a beginning, not an endpoint. Relationships deepen when people pray together, study Scripture together, and walk through ordinary life together.

For those who want to build deeper local relationships, Life Groups provide a pathway toward community and discipleship. For messages you can revisit during the week, explore the FA Memphis message library.

What If You Are Not Ready to Attend in Person?

You can still worship with us.

Some people are homebound, traveling, deployed, caring for family, recovering from illness, or living far beyond Tennessee. Others may simply need time before taking the step into an in-person gathering.

That is one reason Boundless Online Church exists: to create a bridge for worship, prayer, Bible study, encouragement, and digital Christian community wherever life has placed you. Boundless does not replace a healthy local church for those who can participate in one nearby. Instead, it offers connection for people who need an online path.

A Gentle Invitation for First-Time Guests

If this would be your first visit, here is all you need to do:

“You do not have to arrive perfect, only willing to take one step toward Jesus.”

One Sunday Can Become a Turning Point

A Sunday gathering may look ordinary from the outside: people arriving, children learning, worship rising, Scripture being opened, and conversations unfolding.

But God often works through ordinary moments.

A song may remind you that you are not forgotten. A verse may bring clarity to a decision. A prayer may give you courage to keep going. A welcoming conversation may interrupt a season of isolation. A child may discover that church is a place where they are known and valued.

The goal is not simply to fill a room or increase a livestream audience. The goal is to help people move closer to Jesus, healing, understanding, community, courage, faith, and service.

So, is everyone welcome at Sunday worship in Cordova?

Yes. If you are in Memphis, Cordova, or the 901, we would be glad to welcome you in person. If you are joining from another neighborhood, another state, or another country, you are welcome to worship online through Boundless. And if you are returning to church after a long absence, there is still a place for your next step.
