FA Memphis Connection: Is There a Senior Adult Ministry That Keeps You Connected in Memphis?

Yes, the Prime Time Cruzers at First Assembly Memphis is a dedicated 55+ senior adult ministry focused on fellowship, spiritual growth, and community. Meeting monthly for dinner and music, it provides a vibrant space for seniors in the Memphis area to stay connected, encouraged, and active in their faith.

In a world that often moves at a breakneck pace, it is easy for senior adults to feel like the culture has outrun them. But at First Assembly Memphis, we believe that your "prime time" isn't a season of the past, it’s a season of purpose. Whether you are living in Cordova, Bartlett, Arlington, or right here in the heart of Memphis, finding a community that values your wisdom and honors your journey is essential for a flourishing life.

The Prime Time Cruzers ministry was built on the biblical principle that we never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is more than just a social club; it is a life-giving fellowship where the "901" senior community gathers to find strength, laughter, and a seat at the table.

What to Expect at Prime Time Cruzers

If you’ve been looking for a place where you are seen, known, and valued, the Dining Hall at First Assembly Memphis becomes a hub of joy every third Monday of the month. At 5:30 PM, the doors open to a room filled with the aroma of a delicious home-cooked meal and the sound of multi-generational stories being shared.

The structure of our meetings is simple but intentional:

  1. A Shared Meal: We believe some of the best ministry happens over a dinner plate. Breaking bread together breaks down barriers of isolation.

  2. Musical Inspiration: Each month features special musical guests, ranging from southern gospel to classic hymns, that stir the soul and invite us into a posture of worship.

  3. Genuine Connection: Whether you are coming as a couple or arriving on your own, you are immediately welcomed into the family.

Why Connection Matters in Your Senior Years

Isolation is one of the greatest challenges facing seniors today. Research consistently shows that meaningful social and spiritual connection leads to better mental health, emotional resilience, and physical well-being. But beyond the health benefits, the Bible tells us that we are part of a Body.

At FA Memphis, we view our seniors as the "spiritual anchors" of the church. You carry the history of God’s faithfulness, and the Prime Time Cruzers ministry provides a platform for that faithfulness to be celebrated.

They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing. - Psalm 92:14

Bridging the Local and Global

While we love seeing your faces in person at 8650 Walnut Grove Rd, we also recognize that life sometimes brings seasons where physical attendance is difficult. Perhaps you are traveling, visiting family out of state, or your health requires you to stay home.

This is why we have built a bridge between our local Memphis campus and our global digital community. Through Boundless Online Church, our senior adults can stay connected to the Word and the community from anywhere in the world. Digital discipleship ensures that geography never dictates your spiritual growth.
