Global Unity: The Road to 1 Million Churches and a Peaceful World

Good morning, Boundless family! It is Wednesday, March 11, 2026, and today our hearts are turning toward a vibrant, sun-drenched city on the coast of West Africa: Accra, Ghana.

If you could step into the stadium in Accra right now, you’d hear a symphony of languages. You’d see a sea of colorful fabrics, hands lifted in praise, and smiles that bridge every cultural gap imaginable. We are currently in the thick of the 2026 Assemblies of God World Congress. The theme this year is powerful: "Commissioned: One Mandate, Every Nation."

But this isn't just another big meeting. There is a specific, audacious goal that everyone is talking about, the MM33 Mandate. The goal? To see 1 million healthy, multiplying churches planted around the globe by the year 2033.

As parents, when we hear numbers like "one million," it can feel a bit abstract. But when we look at the world today, especially the ongoing need for peace and reconciliation in places like the Middle East, this mission takes on a very personal, very urgent meaning.

Missions as Peacemaking

At Boundless Online Church, we often talk about the Digital Great Commission. We believe that every time a new church is planted, it’s not just a building going up; it’s a lighthouse of peace being established in a community.

Right now, our world is watching the Middle East with bated breath. We see the headlines, and as parents, we want to give our children a perspective that isn’t rooted in fear, but in the hope of the Gospel. The MM33 Mandate reminds us that our primary call isn't just to "survive" the times we live in, but to be active peacemakers.

When 1 million churches stand together, they form a global network of prayer and diplomatic grace. We aren't just praying for an end to conflict; we are praying for the "Prince of Peace" to be known in every heart from Accra to Jerusalem.

1. Family Bible Study: The Peacemaker’s Toolbox

Theme: Blessed are the Peacemakers. Scripture: Matthew 5:9 – "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God."

The Conversation (Parents to Kids): "Did you know that being a peacemaker is like being a bridge-builder? Sometimes people are on two different sides of a river, and they can’t reach each other. They might even be shouting. A peacemaker doesn't just tell them to be quiet; a peacemaker helps build a way for them to meet in the middle."

Discussion Questions:

  • Ages 3–6: What does a "peaceful" face look like? Can you show me? How does it feel when our house is peaceful?

  • Ages 7–9: If two friends are arguing over a toy, how can you be a "bridge-builder" instead of just picking a side?

  • Ages 10–12: Why do you think Jesus says peacemakers are called "children of God"? How does making peace show people what God is like?

Prayer Closer: "Lord, thank You for the big meeting in Ghana. We pray for the 1 million churches being started. Help our family to be a 'mini-church' of peace right here in our neighborhood. Amen."

2. Standalone Kids Story: The Song of the Many Colors

Once upon a time, in a city called Accra where the ocean waves hummed a constant tune, a little girl named Ama sat on her father’s shoulders.

"Look, Papa!" Ama pointed. "There are people from everywhere!"

She saw a man in a bright blue suit from Brazil, a woman with a beautiful silk scarf from South Korea, and a tall grandfather from Egypt. They were all walking toward the big stadium.

"Why are they all here?" Ama asked.

"They are part of the Big Family," Papa said with a smile. "They have a secret weapon."

Ama’s eyes went wide. "A sword? A shield?"

Papa laughed softly. "Better. They have a song of peace. You see, Ama, the world is sometimes like a puzzle with missing pieces. People get angry because they feel like they don't belong. But these people are going out to tell everyone that they belong to God."

As Ama listened, the crowd began to sing. It wasn't just one song; it was a thousand songs in a thousand languages, all blending into one beautiful sound. Ama didn't understand all the words, but she understood the feeling. It felt like a warm blanket. It felt like home.

"Papa," Ama whispered, "can I help tell the song?"

"You already are," Papa said, squeezing her hand. "Every time you are kind, every time you share, and every time you pray for children far away, you are planting a little seed of peace."

Ama smiled. She realized that even though she was small, she was a part of the 1 million lighthouses lighting up the dark.

3. The Map of Light: Chapter 4 – The Whispering Desert

This is a serial story for older children (ages 8–12) about a group of "Light-Bearers" traveling a digital and spiritual map of the world.

The holographic map hovered in the center of the room, glowing with tiny white dots. Leo leaned in closer.

"Look at the Middle East," he whispered. "The dots are flickering."

"Those aren't just dots, Leo," Maya said, her fingers dancing across the interface. "Those are 'Peace-Points.' They represent places where people are meeting to pray and help their neighbors. But the signal is weak because there’s a lot of 'Static', that’s what the Map calls conflict."

Suddenly, a new dot appeared, right in the heart of a desert region. It wasn't white; it was a soft, glowing gold.

"What’s that?" Leo asked.

"That’s a new plant," Maya said, her voice filled with wonder. "A group of people just started a new community there. They’ve decided to stop fighting and start building a well together. The Map of Light is growing!"

Just then, a message scrolled across the bottom of the screen: MM33 Mandate: Connection Established. New Light-Bearer Active.

"We have to send them our 'Support Stream,'" Leo said, reaching for the console. "They need to know the whole global family is cheering for them. If they can hold the light there, the Static will have to back away."

Leo pressed the button, and a beam of blue light shot from their station toward the golden dot on the map. It was a digital "handshake" of prayer, crossing oceans in a second.

To be continued...

4. Tips for Raising Global-Minded Peacemakers

How do we take the big news from the AG World Congress and make it real at the dinner table?

  1. The "Map and Snack" Night: Pick a country each week (maybe start with Ghana or Israel). Find it on a map, learn one fact about it, and try a snack from that region.

  2. Pray for the "Hard Places": Don't be afraid to mention news events to your kids in an age-appropriate way. Instead of focusing on the "scary" part, focus on the "helpers." Say, "Let’s pray for the peacemakers working in that city today."

  3. Digital Missions: Remind your kids that their safe tech use is a tool. Even sending an encouraging message to a missionary family is part of the Great Commission!

  4. Practice Diplomacy at Home: When siblings fight, use the word "diplomacy." Teach them to listen to the other person's "treaty" before responding.

5. Hands-On Faith: The Global Prayer Chain

Materials: Strips of colored paper (construction paper or scraps), markers, tape or a stapler.

The Activity:

  1. On each strip of paper, have your child write the name of a country, a person they know who needs peace, or a "Fruit of the Spirit" (like Kindness or Patience).

  2. Loop the first strip and tape it closed.

  3. Thread the next strip through the first and tape it, creating a chain.

  4. Hang the chain in your living room or kitchen.

Spiritual Connection Script: "Every link in this chain represents a person or a place. Just like the 1 million churches in the MM33 Mandate, when we all stand together and hold on to each other, we are stronger. This chain reminds us that our prayers connect us to people all over the world, even if we’ve never met them!"

Closing Thoughts

As the World Congress in Accra continues, let’s keep our eyes on the Cross. The road to 1 million churches isn't about numbers on a spreadsheet; it’s about 1 million more places where the broken-hearted can find healing and where enemies can become brothers.
