Miracles Today

You scroll through your phone.

You see news. Posts. Videos.

But somewhere between the notifications and the noise, you might wonder: does God still move powerfully today?

The answer is yes.

And the evidence is everywhere: if you know where to look.

God Hasn't Changed

We live in a world that measures everything.

Data. Science. Proof.

And that's good.

But sometimes we forget that God doesn't operate only within the systems we've built.

He's the same yesterday, today, and forever.

The God who parted the Red Sea is the same God who's working right now: in hospital rooms, in broken relationships, in impossible situations.

Real Stories From Real People

Let me share a few stories that might surprise you.

The Boy Under the Ice

In January 2015, a 14-year-old named John Smith fell through ice into freezing water.

He was submerged for 15 minutes.

When rescue workers pulled him out, there was no pulse. No breath. No brain activity.

Medical personnel tried everything. Nothing worked.

They were about to give up.

But John's mother walked into the room and began to pray.

Within moments, John's heart started beating again.

He eventually made a full recovery: with no brain damage.

Doctors called it medically unexplainable.

His mother called it a miracle.

The Woman Who Walked Again

Ema McKinley had been wheelchair-bound since 1993.

She suffered from reflex sympathetic dystrophy: a severe, chronic nerve disorder that caused constant, unbearable pain.

For nearly two decades, she couldn't walk.

Then on Christmas Eve 2011, something shifted.

She felt warmth flood through her body.

The next morning, Christmas Day, she stood up and walked without assistance.

No medical intervention. No surgery. Just prayer and God's power.

A Voice in the Darkness

In March 2015, police officer Tyler Beddoes responded to a car accident.

A vehicle had flipped into frigid water hours earlier.

As the officers approached the scene, they heard a calm voice calling out: "Help me, help me."

They followed the voice and found the overturned car.

Inside, a woman had been dead for 14 hours.

But strapped in the backseat was an 18-month-old baby: alive.

The officers are convinced the voice they heard led them to save that child.

Where did the voice come from?

They still don't know.

But they believe God sent it.

Not Always Dramatic: But Always Real

Here's the thing about miracles.

They're not always headline-worthy.

Sometimes they're quiet. Personal. Intimate.

Consider Fabrice, a young boy from Togo.

He'd never spoken a word in his entire life.

His family thought he was mute.

Then during a routine checkup at a local program, a doctor discovered something simple: a tongue tie.

A minor surgical procedure: costing less than $10: changed everything.

For the first time in his life, Fabrice could speak.

He could make friends. Tell jokes. Say "I love you" to his family.

Was that a miracle?

Absolutely.

God uses doctors, technology, and everyday people to bring healing.

Why Miracles Still Matter

You might be thinking: "That's great for them. But what about me?"

Fair question.

Here's what these stories reveal:

God is still active.

He hasn't retired. He hasn't lost interest. He's still moving, still healing, still rescuing.

Prayer still matters.

In every one of these stories, someone prayed. And God answered.

Faith opens doors.

When we believe God can move, we position ourselves to see Him work.

What About Science?

Some people think faith and science are enemies.

They're not.

God created the laws of science. He invented physics, chemistry, and biology.

But He's also not limited by them.

He can work within those laws: and beyond them.

When a surgeon saves a life, that's God working through medicine.

When a person recovers despite what medicine says is possible, that's God working beyond medicine.

Both are miracles.

How to Experience God's Power Today

You don't need to fall through ice or end up in a hospital to experience God's power.

Here's how to open your life to His work:

Start with honest prayer.

Tell God what you need. Be real. Be specific.

He already knows, but He wants you to ask.

Expect Him to move.

Faith isn't wishful thinking. It's trusting that God is good and able.

Don't limit Him with your doubt.

Look for His fingerprints.

Sometimes miracles look like open doors. Timely conversations. Unexpected provision.

Train your eyes to see Him working.

Share your story.

When God moves in your life, tell someone.

Your testimony might be the miracle someone else needs to hear.

The Bigger Picture

Here's what all of this points to:

God loves you.

He's not distant. Not indifferent. Not too busy.

He's present. Active. Involved.

And He's inviting you into a relationship where His power becomes real in your life.

That's the greatest miracle of all.
