Welcome back to The Boundless Daily.
Yesterday we talked about scripture being God's Word.
Today, we're talking about God Himself.
Who is He, really?
More Than a Cosmic Force
A lot of people picture God as some distant energy.
A vague spiritual presence floating around the universe.
Maybe a judge sitting far away keeping score.
Or worse : an angry deity just waiting for us to mess up.

But that's not who the Bible reveals.
The One True God isn't a force.
He's a Father.
He's personal.
He knows your name.
And He's not distant at all.
One God, Three Persons
Here's where it gets beautiful.
The Bible teaches us there's one God.
Not many. Just one.
But this one God exists in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We call this the Trinity.
It's one of those truths that's hard to wrap your mind around completely : and that's okay.

You don't have to fully understand electricity to flip a light switch.
You don't have to grasp every detail of the Trinity to know God loves you.
But here's what matters:
The Father loves you and sent His Son.
Jesus (the Son) came to earth, lived among us, died for our sins, and rose again.
The Holy Spirit lives inside believers, guiding us, comforting us, empowering us.
All three are fully God.
All three are working together for your good.
He's Not Hiding From You
One of the biggest lies the enemy whispers is this:
"God doesn't care about you."
"You're too small for Him to notice."
"He's too busy running the universe."
That's just not true.
The God who created galaxies knows how many hairs are on your head.
The God who set the stars in place sees you right now : wherever you are.
Maybe you're reading this on your phone during a break at work.
Maybe you're up late because you can't sleep.
Maybe you're in a place where following Jesus puts you at risk.
He sees you.
He knows your name.
And He's not distant.

What Makes Him Different
The One True God has always existed.
He didn't need anyone to create Him.
He holds all knowledge, all power, and He's present everywhere.
He never changes.
He's not moody. He's not unpredictable.
What He promises, He delivers.
That's why we can trust Him.
Throughout history, people have worshiped all kinds of gods.
Gods of war, gods of harvest, gods of the sea.
But those gods were made up.
Carved out of wood or stone.
Created by human imagination.
The God of the Bible is different.
He's the one who created everything.
And unlike false gods, He doesn't need anything from us.
He's complete.
Whole.
Perfect.
He didn't create us because He was lonely.
He created us because He wanted to share His love.
The God Who Speaks
Here's something incredible:
God doesn't want you guessing about who He is.
He revealed Himself.
Through creation.
Through His Word.
Through Jesus.
If you want to know what God is like, look at Jesus.

Jesus showed us the Father's heart.
He healed the sick.
He welcomed the outcast.
He forgave sinners.
He wept with those who grieved.
He gave His life so we could be forgiven.
That's who God is.
Not some cold, distant judge.
A loving Father who runs toward you, not away from you.
What This Means for You Today
You don't have to earn God's attention.
You already have it.
You don't have to perform to make Him love you.
He already does.
The One True God isn't waiting for you to get your life together before He welcomes you.
He's inviting you to come as you are.
Broken. Messy. Tired. Confused.
Come anyway.
He's not shocked by your struggles.
He's not surprised by your past.
He knows it all : and He still loves you.
A Relationship, Not a Religion
This is what sets Christianity apart.
It's not about following rules to earn favor.
It's about a relationship with the One True God.
He doesn't want rituals.
He wants your heart.
He doesn't want empty prayers.
He wants real conversation.
Talk to Him.
Tell Him what's on your mind.
Be honest.
He already knows anyway.
And here's the best part:
He talks back.
Not audibly (usually).
But through His Word, through peace in your spirit, through circumstances, through other believers.
When you open your heart to Him, you'll start to recognize His voice.
You're Not Too Far Gone
Maybe you're reading this thinking:
"This sounds nice, but I've done too much."
"I've walked away from God."
"I've made too many mistakes."
Listen:
There is no sin too big for God's grace.
No past too dark for His light.
No distance too far for His reach.
The One True God is in the business of restoration.
He specializes in second chances.
Actually, He offers unlimited chances.

If you feel far from God, take one step toward Him.
Just one.
He'll run the rest of the way.
Start Today
You don't need to wait for Sunday.
You don't need to clean up your life first.
You don't need a church building.
Right now, wherever you are, you can talk to the One True God.
Say something like this:
"God, I want to know You. I believe You're real. I believe You sent Jesus for me. Forgive me. Come into my life. Help me follow You."
It doesn't have to be fancy.
Just honest.
That's all He asks.
