The Devil Isn’t Mainly After Your Money He’s After Your Heart

Updated: Jan 12

Many men assume spiritual warfare is about losing things. They think the enemy attacks through external loss, financial pressure, and visible problems. Those things can be real, but they are rarely the main target. The main target is internal. The main target is the heart.

Because if the enemy can compromise your heart, everything downstream becomes vulnerable. A compromised heart produces a compromised mouth. A compromised mouth produces compromised habits. Compromised habits produce compromised relationships.

Compromised relationships produce a compromised future.

Here is what happens when the heart is compromised.

  • Your words become sharper

  • Your patience becomes thinner

  • Your faith becomes weaker

  • Your temptations become louder

  • Your peace becomes harder to access

That is why guarding the heart is not soft. It is strategic. It is how men stay stable. It is how men keep their authority. It is how men stay clean in the mind and strong in the spirit.

Here is one practical way to guard your heart starting today.

  • Audit your inputs

  • Cut one thing that feeds lust, anger, fear, or cynicism

  • Add one thing that feeds Scripture, prayer, worship, and obedience

  • Keep returning to the Word until peace becomes normal again
