You Are Not Too Young to Matter

God has a purpose for your life right now

If you are a teenager, I want you to hear something clearly. You are not just the church of tomorrow. You are part of the church today. God sees you, He knows your name, and He has a purpose for your life right now.

It is easy to feel overlooked at your age. Adults may not always take you seriously. Social media can make you feel like everyone else has it together. Some days you may wonder if your faith even makes a difference.

The apostle Paul wrote these words to a young leader named Timothy: "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12, KJV)

Paul did not tell Timothy to wait until he was older. He told him to be an example now. That means the way you talk matters. The way you treat the kid who sits alone at lunch matters. The way you handle pressure, online and in person, matters.

Being an example does not mean being perfect. It means being real with God and letting Him shape you a little more each day. When you mess up, and we all do, you run back to Him instead of away from Him. That is what faith looks like at any age.

Here are a few simple ways to start. Read one short passage of Scripture each day. Pray for your friends by name. Choose kind words, even when others do not. Find a trusted adult at church or at home you can talk to honestly.

You have a voice, and God can use it. Do not wait for permission to live for Him. Start right where you are.

Reflection Question: What is one way you can be an example to the people around you this week, in your words, your actions, or your faith?
