Dr. Layne McDonald is the founding pastor of Boundless Online Church, the global outreach of First Assembly Memphis. Formerly a filmmaker with credits on projects like The Polar Express and The Passion of the Christ, as well as TV, music videos, and Oscar-celebrated teams, Dr. McDonald’s journey shifted forever after the loss of his daughter in 2017. Since then, he has poured every ounce of his creative and leadership talent into sharing hope and the love of Jesus through Boundless. With dual Ph.D.’s in Administration Management and Communications & Film, Dr. McDonald’s life work is to help people everywhere meet Christ through art, story, and authentic connection—no matter where they are in the world.
