Hey there, and welcome back to the Boundless Daily. It is Tuesday, March 3, 2026, and I’m so glad you’ve decided to spend a few minutes of your day with us. Whether you are catching this on your break during a long hospital shift, winding down after a late-night drive, or checking in from a place where attending a physical church isn’t an option right now, you belong here.
We are on Day 20 of our Global Micro-Study, diving into the core foundations of what we believe. Today, we are looking at a topic that brings a deep, refreshing breath of air to the weary soul: The Blessed Hope.
In the world of theology, specifically within the Assemblies of God (AG) 16 Fundamental Truths, this is Truth #13. It’s the "What now?" and the "What’s next?" of the Christian life. If you’ve ever felt like this world is a bit too heavy or a bit too broken, today’s study is for you.
What Exactly is "The Blessed Hope"?
When we use the word "hope" in our everyday language, we usually mean it as a wish. "I hope it doesn't rain," or "I hope I get that promotion." It’s a maybe. It’s a desire for something that might not happen.
But in the Bible, and specifically regarding the return of Jesus, "hope" isn't a "maybe." It is a "definitely."
The Blessed Hope refers to the resurrection of those who have died in Christ and their translation (being caught up) together with those who are alive and remain at the coming of the Lord. It’s the imminent and certain return of Jesus for His Church.
Titus 2:13 calls it out directly: "...while we wait for the blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ."

Why This Matters for You Today
You might be wondering why we focus on this during a micro-study. Isn't this just "end-times stuff"?
Actually, the Blessed Hope is less about a timeline and more about a Person. It’s about the fact that the story doesn't end in a hospital room, a courtroom, or a graveyard. For the believer, the story ends in a glorious reunion.
If you are a caregiver looking after a loved one with a chronic illness, the Blessed Hope tells you that physical bodies will one day be made new.
If you are working a job that feels meaningless or draining, the Blessed Hope reminds you that you are a citizen of a different Kingdom, and your King is coming to bring you home.
If you are a seeker, someone just kicking the tires on this whole "Jesus thing," this hope is the anchor. It’s the promise that God hasn't abandoned His creation. He has a plan to set everything right.
The Scriptural Foundation
Let’s look at the "how" of this hope. The Apostle Paul gives us a vivid picture in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17:
"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever."
This is what we call the Rapture. It’s the moment when the Church, all those who have put their faith in Jesus, is reunited with Him.
Think about that phrase: “And so we will be with the Lord forever.”
No more distance. No more "seeing through a glass darkly." No more wondering if He’s there. Just presence. Total, unhindered presence.

Living in the "In-Between"
We live in a tension. We are here, in the year 2026, dealing with real-world problems, tech safety, family dynamics, and global shifts. Yet, we are also "looking up."
Living with the Blessed Hope doesn't mean we check out of reality. It actually gives us the strength to engage with reality more deeply. Because we know how the story ends, we can be more generous, more patient, and more courageous today.
If you know you’ve won the game, you don’t panic when the other team scores a point in the second quarter. You keep playing with confidence. The Blessed Hope is our "fourth-quarter confidence."
A Global Perspective
Boundless Online Church exists because we know that "church" isn't a building with a steeple. It’s a movement of people connected by the Spirit.
For our friends in areas where it is dangerous to profess faith, the Blessed Hope is a lifeline. It’s the promise that no government, no persecution, and no threat can take away their ultimate future.
For our friends who are homebound or disabled, who might feel forgotten by society, the Blessed Hope is the great equalizer. In the resurrection, every tear is wiped away, and every limitation is gone.
We are a global community. Whether you’re reading this in a high-rise in Tokyo or a small village in the Midwest, the same sky is over us, and the same Savior is coming for us.

Practical Steps for This Week
How do we take this "Theology #13" and make it part of our Tuesday?
Look Up: Literally. Sometime today, step outside or look out a window. Remind yourself that the sky isn't just for weather; it’s the canvas for the greatest event in human history yet to come.
Encourage Someone: Paul tells the Thessalonians to "encourage one another with these words." If you know someone who is grieving or discouraged, remind them, gently, that this isn't the end.
Audit Your Anxiety: When you feel your heart rate rising because of the news or a personal crisis, ask yourself: "Does this change the fact that Jesus is coming back?" The answer is always no.
Questions for Reflection
We love to hear from you. As you think about the Blessed Hope today, consider these questions:
What part of the "new heaven and new earth" are you most looking forward to?
How does the thought of Jesus’ return change the way you view your current struggles?
Is there someone in your life who needs to hear that there is a hope that doesn't disappoint?
If you have questions about what this means for you personally, or if you’re trying to navigate what it looks like to follow Jesus in 2026, please reach out. We are here to walk this path with you.

Meeting You Where You Are
At Boundless Online Church, we know that life doesn't always fit into a Sunday morning 10:00 AM box. That’s why we’re here 24/7 online. We are a digital church serving those who cannot attend in person for any reason: whether that's due to work schedules, health, or location. We believe the Word of God is boundless, and so is His reach.
We help people meet Jesus and grow in faith online.

Looking Ahead
Tomorrow, we continue our journey through the Fundamental Truths. We’ve talked about the hope of His return, but what happens after that? We’ll be digging into the Millennial Reign of Christ as we move toward the final days of this micro-study.
Stay hopeful. Stay connected. And remember, the best is truly yet to come.
See you tomorrow,
