Our Memphis church reaches the world by partnering with the Assemblies of God Gospel Access Vision, supporting missionaries, and utilizing Boundless Online Church. By focusing on Unengaged Unreached People Groups (UUPGs) and leveraging digital platforms, we extend the hope of Jesus from the 901 to the ends of the earth.

The Heartbeat of Memphis and the Nations

When we gather in the heart of Memphis, TN, it is easy to focus solely on our own neighborhoods. We love the 901, from the streets of Cordova to the growing communities in Bartlett and Arlington. However, the mission of First Assembly Memphis has always been larger than our zip code. We are a local church with a global heartbeat.

The Great Commission is not a suggestion; it is our primary directive. As we look at the world today, over 42% of the global population, roughly 3.4 billion people, have little to no access to the Gospel. Many of these individuals belong to Unengaged Unreached People Groups (UUPGs), meaning there are no known believers, no Bibles in their language, and no churches within reach.

Our mission is to bridge that gap. Whether through physical missions or digital discipleship, we are committed to ensuring that every person has an opportunity to hear the name of Jesus.

Aligning with the Gospel Access Vision

Recently, the Assemblies of God launched the Gospel Access Vision, a strategic initiative designed to mobilize 4,000 missionaries by 2033. This vision specifically targets the most spiritually isolated corners of the globe. At FA Memphis, we align our resources and prayers with this movement because we believe that no one should live and die without hearing the Good News.

The Three Pillars of Gospel Access:

  1. Prayer: Interceding for those behind closed borders and for the safety of our missionaries.

  2. Giving: Providing the financial engine that allows workers to stay on the field and plant churches.

  3. Going: Sending short-term and long-term workers from our own congregation in Memphis to serve globally.

Bridging the Gap through Boundless Online Church

While some are called to cross oceans, we are all called to cross digital borders. This is where Boundless Online Church becomes a vital tool for our mission. In a world that is increasingly connected yet spiritually lonely, the internet provides a "front porch" to reach people in countries where traditional missions are restricted.

Through our digital platforms, we provide community, discipleship, and care to the homebound, the isolated, and the spiritually curious around the world. Every time you share a service or engage with our online community, you are participating in global evangelism right from your home in the 901.
