Have you ever felt like you were running on empty?
You love Jesus. You go to church online. You read your Bible when you can. But something feels missing.
You feel a pull to do more, to be more, and to share your faith. Yet, the strength just isn't there.
This is a common wall that many believers hit. We try to live the Christian life using our own willpower.
We think if we just try harder, we will finally find our purpose. But the truth is, we weren't meant to do this alone.
The Source of Power
In the Assemblies of God, we believe in something called the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. This is Truth #8 of our 16 Fundamental Truths.
It isn't just a theological term. It is a real experience that changes how you live every day.
When Jesus was leaving His disciples, He didn't tell them to go out and work harder. He told them to wait.
He told them to wait for the "promise of the Father." He knew they couldn't fulfill their purpose without His power.
That same promise is for you today. Whether you are working a late shift, caring for a family member, or seeking God from a place where it isn't safe to be a Christian, this power is available.

More Than a One-Time Event
Many people think the Holy Spirit is only for a specific moment at an altar. While that initial experience is vital, Spirit-filled living is a lifestyle.
It is about surrendering control of your life to the Holy Spirit every single morning.
Think of it like a sail on a boat. The wind is always blowing, but the boat only moves when the sail is raised.
Surrendering to the Spirit is like raising your sail. You are saying, "Lord, I can't steer this life on my own. I need Your wind to move me."
This doesn't mean you lose your personality. It means your personality is finally being used for what it was designed for.
Why Do We Need This Power?
The Holy Spirit gives us power for a specific reason: our purpose.
And that purpose is witnessing.
Being a witness isn't just about standing on a street corner with a sign. It is about how you live and how you love.
It’s the patience you have with a difficult coworker. It’s the peace you feel when the news is scary. It’s the courage to pray for a friend.
The Spirit empowers us to show the world who Jesus is. He gives us the words when we don't know what to say.
He gives us the stamina to keep going when we are tired. He gives us the heart to care for people who seem unlovable.
Living Under the Influence
The Bible uses an interesting comparison. It tells us not to be drunk with wine, but to be filled with the Spirit.
When someone is under the influence of something, it changes how they walk and talk. It changes their decisions.
Spirit-filled living means being under the influence of God’s grace.
When the Spirit is in control, your thoughts start to align with His. Your desires begin to change.
You start to care about the things God cares about. You start to see people through His eyes.
This is a process of spiritual maturity. It doesn't happen overnight, but it happens consistently as you yield to Him.

Spiritual Breathing
How do we stay filled? Some call it "spiritual breathing."
When you realize you've taken control back, you exhale. You confess that sin or that self-reliance to God.
Then, you inhale. You ask the Holy Spirit to fill you again. You claim His forgiveness and His power by faith.
This keeps the connection clear. It keeps you from burning out.
For those of us in the Boundless Online Church community, this is vital. We are spread across the globe.
Some of us are isolated physically. But we are never isolated spiritually. The Holy Spirit is the ultimate connection.
Power for the Ordinary
You don't have to be a "professional" minister to need the Holy Spirit.
If you are a parent, you need Spirit-led patience.
If you are a student, you need Spirit-led wisdom.
If you are a shift worker, you need Spirit-led strength during those long hours.
God wants to fill your ordinary moments with His extraordinary power. He wants to use your daily routine as a platform for His glory.
This is how we meet Jesus and grow in faith online and in person. We rely on the one He sent to help us.

A Global Purpose
The mission of Jesus is global. It reaches into every corner of the earth.
When you are filled with the Spirit, you become part of that global movement. Your prayers carry weight. Your digital interactions have purpose.
You aren't just scrolling; you are witnessing. You aren't just working; you are serving.
This is the power for your purpose. It is available to anyone who asks.
If you feel empty today, just stop. You don't need a fancy prayer. You just need an open heart.
Ask Him to fill you. Ask Him to take control.
