Welcome back.
You made it to Day 2.
Whether you're reading this on a break at work, sitting with someone you're caring for, or finding a quiet moment in your day, you're here. That matters.
Today we're talking about the One True God.
Not a philosophy. Not a concept.
A Person who wants to be known.
What We Believe
Here's the simple truth: There is one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
That's Assemblies of God Fundamental Truth #2.
One God. Three Persons. Same divine nature.
It sounds complicated, but stay with me.
The Foundation
The Bible is crystal clear about this from the very beginning.
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one." (Deuteronomy 6:4)
One God. Not many. Not a pantheon of competing deities.
But then Jesus shows up and says things like:
"I and the Father are one." (John 10:30)
And before He leaves, He tells His followers:
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." (Matthew 28:19)
Same God. Three distinct Persons.

Why This Matters to You
You might be wondering: "Okay, but what does this have to do with my shift tonight? Or the person I'm caring for? Or just getting through this week?"
Everything.
Because the One True God isn't distant.
He's not too busy managing the universe to notice you.
The Father sees you. Knows your name. Calls you His child.
The Son walked this earth. Felt tired. Knew rejection. Died for you. Rose again. He gets it.
The Holy Spirit is with you right now. In that hospital room. On that factory floor. In that quiet apartment where you feel isolated.
You're never alone.
The Difference
In a world full of different beliefs and religions, Christianity stands out with a unique claim:
God came down.
Other religions teach people to climb up to God through good works, rituals, or enlightenment.
Christianity says God climbed down to us.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
That's the One True God in action.
Not demanding. Not distant.
Giving. Present. Pursuing.

A Word for Those Who Feel Far Away
Maybe you're reading this and thinking:
"I believe in God, but I don't really know Him."
Or maybe:
"I used to believe, but life got hard and I drifted."
Or even:
"I'm not sure what I believe."
Here's the good news: The One True God is still reaching toward you.
He doesn't give up on people.
He doesn't write anyone off.
"Come near to God and he will come near to you." (James 4:8)
It starts with a simple step: turning toward Him.
Talking to Him.
Asking Him to make Himself real to you.
Your Invitation Today
If you've never started a relationship with Jesus, today can be that day.
Right now. Right where you are.
No church building required. No perfect prayer needed.
Just honest words from your heart.
You could pray something like this:
"God, I want to know You. The real You. I believe You're the One True God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus, I believe You died for me and rose again. Forgive me. Come into my life. I want to follow You. Amen."
If you just prayed that: or something like it: welcome to the family.
Seriously.
You just made the most important decision of your life.

Next Steps
Whether you're brand new to faith or you've been walking with Jesus for years, here's what you can do:
Talk to Him. Prayer isn't complicated. Just talk. He's listening.
Read a little. Start in the Gospel of John. A few verses a day. Let God speak to you through His Word.
Connect. You don't have to do this alone. Reach out. We're here.
And keep coming back to these daily studies. We're building something here: one short, simple truth at a time.
