Welcome back to The Boundless Daily.
Day 3.
Today we’re answering three of the biggest search questions on the internet:
Who is Jesus Christ? Is Jesus God? How do you know Jesus personally?
We’re diving into something that changes everything: the deity of Jesus Christ.
This isn’t just theology.
It’s the foundation of our faith.
It’s the reason we worship Jesus, pray to Him, and trust Him with our eternity.
So let’s talk about who Jesus really is.
Who Is Jesus Christ?
If you’ve ever asked, “Who is Jesus Christ?” you’re not alone.
Jesus is not presented in Scripture as “just a good teacher.”
He didn’t leave room for that.
He is God the Son who became truly human for us.
That’s why Christians worship Him, pray to Him, and trust Him for salvation.
Is Jesus God? Jesus Claimed Divine Identity
Here’s what makes Jesus different from every other religious leader in history.
He didn’t just claim to be a teacher.
He didn’t just claim to be a prophet.
He claimed a divine identity.
When Jesus walked the earth, He spoke and acted with God’s authority. He accepted worship that was reserved for God alone. He forgave sins, something only God has the authority to do.
The Jews who heard Him understood exactly what He was saying. That’s why they wanted to stone Him. They knew He was either telling the truth or committing blasphemy.
His disciples: devout Jewish men who believed in one God: came to the same conclusion. They watched Jesus closely for three years. They saw His character. They witnessed His power. And they worshiped Him.

Jesus Did What Only God Can Do
The New Testament describes Jesus performing functions that belong exclusively to God.
Creator. John 1 tells us that all things were made through Jesus. Nothing was created without Him.
Judge. Jesus will judge the living and the dead. He has authority over every soul.
Savior. Only God can save us from sin. Jesus is that Savior.
The early church recognized this immediately. They prayed to Jesus. They sang hymns to Him. They baptized in His name alongside the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Paul: a Pharisee who knew the Old Testament inside and out: regarded Jesus Christ as identical to Yahweh in status and being.
This wasn't some later invention. This was the testimony of those who walked with Him.
Fully God AND Fully Man (AG Fundamental Truth #3)
Here’s where it gets amazing.
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.
In the Incarnation, Jesus is fully God and fully man.
Not half-and-half.
Not a mixture.
One Person with two natures.
He was born.
He grew hungry.
He felt pain.
He wept.
He bled.
He died.
This is the mystery and the beauty of the Incarnation: God became flesh and made His dwelling among us.
Why?
So He could save us.

Jesus had to be fully God to forgive our sins and conquer death. Only God has that authority and power.
But He also had to be fully man to represent us. He had to live the perfect life we couldn't live. He had to die the death we deserved.
One person. Two natures. Fully God. Fully man.
His Miracles Revealed His Deity
Jesus didn't just talk about being God.
He demonstrated it.
He healed the sick with a word. He cast out demons with authority. He calmed storms. He walked on water. He fed thousands with a few loaves and fish.
He raised the dead.
These weren't magic tricks. They were signs pointing to His divine identity. They were glimpses of His power over nature, sickness, demons, and death.
When people saw these miracles, they worshiped. They recognized they were in the presence of God Himself.
Even His enemies couldn't deny the miracles. They just tried to explain them away or attribute them to dark powers.
But the evidence was clear. Jesus is Lord.
His Death Purchased Our Salvation
The cross is the centerpiece of the gospel.
Jesus: the sinless Son of God: took our place. He bore our sins.
This wasn’t a tragic accident.
It was the plan from the beginning.
Jesus laid down His life willingly. No one took it from Him. He had the power to call down legions of angels, but He chose the cross instead.
Because He loves you.
And because Jesus is truly God and truly man, His sacrifice is more than a sad story.
It’s a sufficient rescue.
No other sacrifice would be enough.
No other savior could do what Jesus did.

His Resurrection Proved His Deity
Three days later, everything changed.
The tomb was empty.
Jesus rose from the dead.
Not resuscitated. Resurrected. New creation. Immortal body. Victory over death.
The resurrection is the ultimate proof of Christ's deity. It's God's stamp of approval on everything Jesus said and did.
Paul tells us in Romans 1:4 that Jesus "was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead."
Death couldn't hold Him.
The grave couldn't contain Him.
He is Lord.
His Exaltation Displays His Glory
After His resurrection, Jesus ascended to heaven.
He sits at the right hand of the Father: the place of ultimate authority and honor.
He is exalted above every name. Every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
Right now, Jesus is our High Priest, interceding for us. He's preparing a place for us. He's reigning as King of Kings.
And one day, He's coming back.
Not as a suffering servant this time. As conquering King. As righteous Judge. As Lord of all.
Why This Matters Today
So why does this matter for you today?
Because if Jesus is God, then His words carry ultimate authority. When He speaks, we listen.
Because if Jesus is God, then His promises are absolutely trustworthy. He has the power to keep every one of them.
Because if Jesus is God, then His sacrifice is sufficient. Your sins can be forgiven. Your life can be made new.
Because if Jesus is God, then He is worthy of your worship, your trust, your obedience, and your whole life.
You’re not following a dead teacher or a good moral example.
You’re following the living God.
The Creator who loves you.
The Savior who died for you.
The Lord who rose for you.
The Heart of Our Faith
The deity of Jesus Christ isn’t a side issue.
It’s central.
It’s why we have hope.
When you trust in Jesus, you’re trusting in God Himself. When you pray to Jesus, you’re praying to the One who has all authority in heaven and on earth. When you worship Jesus, you’re worshiping the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
And that brings us to the most personal question of all:
How To Know Jesus Personally (Meet Him Today)
Knowing Jesus personally isn’t about being “religious enough.”
It’s about responding to Him.
Jesus is alive.
He hears you.
He meets people right where they are.
If you’re ready to meet Him today, you can come to Him right now with simple, honest faith:
Admit your need.
Turn from sin.
Trust Jesus Christ: who died for you and rose again.
Ask Him to forgive you, lead you, and make you new.
Are you ready to meet Him today?
If you are, tell Him right now in your own words.
And if you want someone to pray with you, we’re here.
