Boundless Daily: Global Micro-Study - Day 27: New Beginnings

Welcome back to Day 27 of our Global Micro-Study. We are so glad you’ve decided to spend a few minutes of your day, or night, with us. Whether you are catching this during a break on a long shift, watching from a hospital chair, or sitting in a quiet corner of your home, you are part of this community.

Today, we are looking at the ultimate "fresh start."

In the Assemblies of God tradition, we have 16 Fundamental Truths that act as a map for our faith. Today, we’ve reached the very last one. It’s fitting, isn’t it? The final truth is about the ultimate beginning. We call it "The New Heavens and the New Earth."

This isn't just a "someday" idea. It is a promise that changes how we live right now.

The Great Reset

We’ve all had those days where we just wish we could hit a reset button.

Maybe things didn't go right at work. Maybe a relationship feels fractured. Maybe your body feels like it’s failing you. We live in a world that is "groaning," as the Bible puts it. We see the beauty of creation, but we also see the decay. We see the cinematic sunrises, but we also know the darkness that follows.

Fundamental Truth #16 tells us that the darkness doesn't get the final word.

The Bible says, "We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness" (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21, 22).

This isn't just about floating on a cloud. It’s about a physical, tangible, beautiful restoration of everything that was broken. It is the moment when God says, "Behold, I make all things new."

What Does "New" Really Mean?

When we think of something "new," we often think of a replacement. You trade in an old car for a new one. But the biblical idea of "new" is more like a restoration to the original design, only better.

Think about a piece of furniture that has been painted over, scratched, and left in the rain. Restoration doesn't mean throwing it away. It means stripping away the damage and bringing out the true beauty of the wood beneath.

That is what God is doing with the world. He is stripping away the sin, the death, the mourning, and the pain.

For those of us in the Boundless community who deal with chronic illness or physical limitations, this truth is incredibly precious. We are promised a reality where there is no more pain. No more "out of order" signs on our bodies. No more exhaustion.

If you are a caregiver who spends your nights looking after a loved one, imagine a world where "weary" isn't in the vocabulary. That is the "New Beginning" we are talking about.

Why Righteousness Matters

The scripture says this new place is where "righteousness dwells."

In our current world, we deal with unfairness every day. We see people being mistreated. We see systems that don't work for the vulnerable. We see the struggle of the marginalized.

A world where "righteousness dwells" is a world where everything is right. It’s a world of perfect justice, perfect peace, and perfect love. There is no more fear. No more looking over your shoulder. No more "unsafe" areas.

For our friends joining us from places where it isn't safe to attend a physical church, this promise is your anchor. One day, you will walk in total freedom in a kingdom that will never end.

Living for the Future, Today

You might wonder, "If this is all in the future, how does it help me on a Tuesday in March?"

Knowing the end of the story gives you the strength to get through the middle of it.

When you know that a "New Beginning" is guaranteed, you can face the "ends" in your life with hope. When a job ends, when a season of life closes, or even when we face the end of our time on this earth, we aren't walking into a void. We are walking toward the New Heavens and the New Earth.

This perspective changes how we use our time and our tools.

At Boundless Online Church, we use technology to bridge the gap. We believe that digital spaces can be used for God’s glory. But we also encourage you to be wise. As you navigate the internet, look for things that build your faith and remind you of these eternal truths. Check out our faith and discipleship resources to keep your mind focused on what matters.

Safe tech use isn't just about avoiding bad things; it’s about actively seeking out the "good, the true, and the beautiful" that points us toward our future home.

A Community Without Borders

The beauty of the "New Heavens and New Earth" is that it is for everyone who calls on the name of Jesus. There are no borders there. There are no time zones.

That’s why we love being a digital church. We get a small taste of that right now. In our online groups, we have people from all over the world connecting, praying, and encouraging one another.

If you’ve been feeling isolated, please know that you don't have to carry your burdens alone. Whether you are a late-shift worker catching up on this at 3:00 AM or a parent looking for devotional resources while the kids nap, you are part of a global family.

We are all traveling toward the same New Beginning.

What’s Your "New Beginning" Prayer?

As we wrap up this Day 27 micro-study, I want to invite you to reflect.

What is the one thing in your life right now that you can’t wait for God to "make new"? Is it a health struggle? A broken heart? A sense of hopelessness?

Take a moment to talk to Him about it. He is the author of new beginnings. He doesn't just wait until the end of time to start working; He is making things new in your heart today.

If you have questions about the 16 Fundamental Truths or want to dive deeper into what we believe, you can read more here.

We also invite you to join us for our Sunday Live Worship. It’s a great way to stay connected to the "Anchor of Truth" as we move through our weeks.

A Final Thought for the Road

The cinematic sunrise in the image at the top of this post is a reminder. Every morning is a "micro-mercy" from God. Every sunrise is a whisper that the "New Morning" is coming.

Keep your eyes on the horizon. The best is truly yet to come.

Thank you for being part of Boundless Daily. We are praying for you, and we are so glad we get to grow in faith together.
