A Message from FA Memphis
Hey there. We are so glad you’re here.
Life moves fast. Between work, family, and the constant hum of a digital world, finding a solid hour for deep Bible study can feel like a mountain you’re just too tired to climb. If you’re a shift worker getting home as the sun rises, a caregiver in a quiet house, or someone living in a place where your faith has to stay private, the traditional "quiet hour" isn’t always realistic.
That’s where Micro-Studies come in.
At Boundless Online Church, we believe that spiritual growth doesn’t require a 40-minute sermon every single day. It requires consistency. It requires a heart that is hungry for the Truth. By breaking down deep biblical concepts, like the Assemblies of God 16 Fundamental Truths, into bite-sized, manageable pieces, we help you meet Jesus right where you are.
This guide is your first step. Let’s look at how to start your daily micro-study journey and actually stick with it.
What is a Micro-Study, Anyway?
A micro-study is a focused, intentional time of learning that takes between 5 and 10 minutes. It isn’t just "skimming" a verse. It’s a concentrated look at a specific topic, a single scripture, or a core doctrine.
Think of it like this: If you try to eat a whole steak in one bite, you’ll choke. But if you take small, seasoned bites throughout the day, you’ll be well-fed and energized.
We drop these studies every morning at 8:00 AM. They are designed for the person on the go. Whether you are reading on your break or listening while you commute, these studies are built to fit your life, not the other way around.

Step 1: Follow Your Curiosity
The best way to start is to look at what you’re actually curious about right now.
Are you wondering why there is so much suffering in the world? Are you curious about who the Holy Spirit is? Or maybe you just want to know how to pray when you feel like no one is listening.
In the world of micro-learning, interest is the best engine for growth. Instead of forcing yourself through a dry, academic textbook, start with a topic that hits home. Our blog categories are a great place to see what topics are currently available.
When you study something that matters to your current life situation, the Holy Spirit has a way of making those words jump off the screen and into your heart.
Step 2: Anchor Your Time
To make a micro-study work, you need an anchor. This is a "trigger" in your day that reminds you it’s time to lean in.
For some, it’s that first cup of coffee at 8:00 AM when our daily content drops. For others, it’s the quiet moments right before a shift starts.
Don't wait for the "perfect" time. The perfect time is simply the time you have. If you only have five minutes while waiting in the carpool line or sitting in a breakroom, give those five minutes to God. He can do a lot with a little.
Step 3: Ground Yourself in the Truth
At Boundless Online Church, we don’t just share opinions. Everything we do is grounded in the Word of God and the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God.
Why does this matter for a micro-study? Because when you only have five minutes, you want to make sure you’re standing on a solid foundation. You don’t want fluff; you want the inspired Word of God.
One of our core beliefs is that the Bible is the "all-sufficient rule for faith and practice." This means that even a single verse, when understood correctly, can change the entire trajectory of your day. As you go through our micro-studies, you’ll see us reference these truths often. It’s our way of ensuring that while the study is small, the impact is eternal.

Step 4: Use the Right Tools
You don't need a heavy library of books to do a micro-study. All you really need is your phone and an open heart.
Here is a quick checklist of how to engage with our daily drops:
The Post: Read the daily micro-study on our blog.
The Verse: Keep the featured Bible verse open in your mind throughout the day.
The Group: If you have questions or want to see what others are thinking, check out our Bible Study Club.
If you are new here and feeling a bit overwhelmed, head over to the I'm New Q&A Welcome Center. It’s a safe place to ask anything without judgment.
A Note on Tech Safety
Since we are an online church, we spend a lot of time on the internet. We love technology because it allows us to reach people in places where a physical church might not exist. But we also know that the internet can be a noisy, sometimes unsafe place.
For parents and families, we recommend keeping your micro-study time as a "focused window." Turn off other notifications. Use family-safe filters on your devices. Technology is a tool: make sure you are the one using the tool, rather than the tool using you. We want your time with us to be a refreshing break from the chaos of the web, not another source of stress.
Step 5: Practical Application (The "Do" Part)
A study isn't finished until it’s applied.
The goal of a micro-study isn't just to know more; it's to be more like Jesus. If the study is about kindness, find one person to be kind to in the next hour. If the study is about the power of the Holy Spirit, ask God to empower you for a specific task at work.
This is how small studies lead to big life changes. You take a truth, you hold onto it, and you walk it out.
